Showing the stages of the painting as it evolved - creating treasured memories.
The Pirongia Mountain is a 15minute drive for us and has various bush (forest) walks - we use the ones at the lower level mostly, on the flat but with a great variety of lush native forest and clear, babbling mountain streams. The easier tracks means we could go with all the family, taking grandchildren in buggies and as toddlers to show them the delights of the huge kauris and to play on the stepping stones across the streams (see pic below). As they got older, the educational signs describing the points of interest and the mountains history were stops for discussions and refreshments! These days we are unaccompanied as these grandkids are grown up and on their own paths in life!
