Tondos

​This new series of work of 700mm diameter tondo canvases is a complete change from my landscape work.  Colourful and exciting, unique compositions and with tactile mixed media, all images and line works used are totally unique.  Created from sketchbooks, hand drawings, paint and computer - using pure experimentation and all my knowledge of materials!
They are a combination of hybrid image making, combining digital and physical media to bring an exciting contemporary vision to the studio.  Materials used include acrylic paints and media, archival inks, brass filings, Japanese handmade papers, gold leaf etc on canvas and finished with a conservation quality gel medium which gives added vibrancy to each composition.
